Word 2003 Tip!

The “Work” menu can be used to keep a list of your frequently accessed word files

I am not sure how many are aware of this handy feature in MS Word 2003.I often use this feature so just thought would let more souls know this. It’s called the “Work” menu. No it is not available by default in your word menu/toolbars.

To add the work menu to your toolbar/Menu bar:

Go to “Tools” menu
Click “Customize” then click the “Commands” tab
In the “Categories” box click “Built in Menus”, then click “Work” on the “Commands” box. Drag it to the menu bar or your toolbar.

The options available are

1. Add a document to the “Work” menu (click the menu and you get the option!)

2. Removing a document is tricky..press [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [-]. The cursor changes to a bold line/underscore. Go to the “Work” menu and click on the document you want to remove.

To open an document in the “Work” menu ofcourse you just have to click on it.!

Running Win9x/ME ? Switch to Opera!

Well I’ll make this simple to understand

IF your PC = Win9x/ME

Goto [Opera for Windows (Non-Java) 8.02 Build:7668]

Print
{enormous difference in system performance while browsing the net} &

{added security and features compared to that miserable IE 6(on your platform)}

Why make the change??

Opera is known as the fastest and smallest full-featured browser, a first choice for people using older PCs and Windows 95 and a brilliant/sensible alternative to the default IE from Microsoft. This new version has a chance to actually beat IE hands-down because it has a truckload of new and exciting features!.
