Greasemonkey - A Revelation
Ok we know “Firefox” yes “Thunderbird” also.. now what..? “Greasemonkey”…come on is there a “Blogging-buffalow”coming up?Well i cant speculate on that, but if its as useful as the above..i’m ok with any animal. So coming to Greasemonkey.
I hope that most of you have switched over to Firefox or thinking of..in anycase i am giving you a reason to make your stand.Firefox as it comes barebone and hence light!…has an option for adding tiny pieces of code that extends its functioning/featureset.Now these are aptly named “Extensions”.As you predicted Greasemonkey is one of these extensions which is in a sense notoriously popular.

Once you have tried greasemonkey u’l never be able to give it up..trust me its addictive. The following are the scripts that i run
1.Bugme not - Skip required registration using the Bug Me Not shared login service, similar to the Firefox extension. Works in Firefox/GM and IE/Turnabout.
2.Email Linkify:Turn all unlinked email addresses on a page into ‘mailto’s
3.Embeded Player -> Link Converter:Turn embedded real/quicktime/windowsmedia player objects into links, so you can download them. Tested on 3voor12.vpro.nl and ifilm.com only. Now probably safe for other sites too. Updated: Now has preliminary Google Video Support - use any player you want.
4.FoxiPod:MP3/music links get an additional link to download directly to iTunes or iPod in a single-click. A combination of a greasemonkey script and a Mac OS X custom protocol handler application. (currently requires Mac OS X. user script is auto-generated)
5.Hide Adsense:Hides Google Adsense IFrames. Updated 2005-04-28
6.WikiProxy: Greasemonkey Edition:Adds links to Wikipedia entries for important terms and acronyms on any webpage
7.WordPress Drafts Preview:Preview your wordpress drafts by running your mouse over the post name.
